About the Richmond International Airport

Although the airport didn’t take it’s current name until 1984, the site has been used for aviation type activities since the civil war era (1860s).

The Richmond International Airport is located just 6 miles East of Richmond. They handle about 300 flights per day, reaching it’s new record of 4.38 Million passengers in 2019. That’s a lot of people!
