How to Plan Your Charlottesville Wine Tour

Factoring time bewteen stops is important. Depending which wineries you’ve chosen for your wine tour, there could be anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes or more in ride time from one winery to the next. Remembering this when you’re planning is a must.

Always allow extra time. The day you spend wine touring is supposed to be relaxing and worry free so make sure you allow a little extra time. Don’t plan down to the second so you’re having to “watch the clock” all day.

Remember that most wineries require reservations for parties bigger than 6. We always suggest reserving a spot at the wineries you plan on visiting. Some vineyards have very limited space and cannot accept large groups. Make sure you check with each winery about their capacity limits and reservation policies ahead of time to avoid disappointments.
